Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, shredded coconut, brown sugar, and baking soda.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and egg in another bowl.
  4. Combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture until thoroughly combined.
  5. Add in the caramel sauce and fold gently into the dough.
  6. Form the biscuits using a tablespoon and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven.
  8. Cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use all-purpose flour if you don’t have whole wheat flour. Feel free to add chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
