- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 egg
- ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, shredded coconut, brown sugar, and baking soda.
- Cream together the softened butter and egg in another bowl.
- Combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture until thoroughly combined.
- Add in the caramel sauce and fold gently into the dough.
- Form the biscuits using a tablespoon and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use all-purpose flour if you don’t have whole wheat flour. Feel free to add chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
