  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for the chocolate sauce)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for the chocolate sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix melted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Combine the dry mix into the wet ingredients, folding gently to maintain fudginess.
  5. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir.
  6. Bake in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Make the chocolate sauce by melting together chocolate chips and heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat.
  8. Cool the brownies, cut into squares, and drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving.

Notes

For extra fudginess, do not overbake. Consider adding nuts or dried cherries for a twist.
