Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans with butter and parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract and cream.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Divide the batter between the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
