Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 6 oz crab meat (can be imitation or real)
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 packet of wonton wrappers
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Sweet chili sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Mix it up: In a medium-sized bowl, combine your softened cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onion, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Wrap it up: Take a wonton wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the crab mixture in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold it over to create a triangle, pinching the edges to seal.
- Heat it up: In a large skillet, heat your vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
- Fry: Once the oil is hot, gently place a few wontons in the pan and fry until they’re crispy and golden, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain and serve: Transfer your crispy crab rangoon wontons to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Dipping delight: Serve with a generous side of sweet chili sauce for dipping.
Notes
Ensure wontons are sealed tightly to retain filling. Bake at 375°F for a healthier option.
