Description
A showstopper boneless prime rib roast, perfect for special occasions and family dinners, combining deep flavors with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 pounds boneless prime rib roast
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preparation: Take that glorious boneless prime rib out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about an hour.
- Seasoning: Mix the minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, rosemary, and thyme in a bowl to create a delicious rub.
- Cooking: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place the roast in a roasting pan for about 15 minutes.
- Lower: After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and roast for an additional 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Resting: Once cooked, take the roast out and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer for best results, aiming for an internal temperature of 130°F for medium-rare. Don’t skip resting for juicy meat. Adding a splash of red wine to the drippings can enhance flavor.
