Description

A delightful strawberry cake that combines moist layers with fresh strawberries and decadent frosting, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • Additional strawberries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the strawberry cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Let the cake cool completely.
  5. Prepare a strawberry sauce by combining sliced strawberries with sweetened condensed milk and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Poke holes all over the top of the cooled cake and drizzle the strawberry mixture over it.
  7. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form and spread over the cake.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For a fun twist, substitute with frozen strawberries if fresh are unavailable.
