Description
A fun and delicious treat for Halloween that kids will love! These spider meatballs are quick and easy to prepare, bringing creativity to your festive table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 jar marinara sauce (for dipping and drizzling)
- Black olives (for the spider bodies)
- Spaghetti or thin pasta (for spider legs)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced onion, garlic, egg, and Italian seasoning in a large bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Shape your meat mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, reserving some pasta water.
- Create spiders by placing a half of a black olive on top of each meatball for the body and inserting pieces of spaghetti for legs.
- Serve the meatballs with warmed marinara sauce.
Notes
Don’t overmix the meatballs to avoid a dense texture. Feel free to use cheese chunks instead of olives for a different twist.
