Delightful meatball mummies wrapped in flaky pastry for a spooky Halloween dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package of puff pastry sheets (thawed)
- Black olives (for the eyes)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Form small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the meatballs for about 15-20 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
- Wrap the baked meatballs with thin strips of puff pastry, leaving space for eyes.
- Bake the wrapped meatballs for another 10-15 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
- Add sliced black olives on top of the mummies for eyes.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Involve kids in the preparation for added fun! Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
