Description

Halloween Spaghetti and Meatballs is the perfect recipe for a fun and delicious family dinner. Quick, easy, and spooky, try it today!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound spaghetti (or any pasta you love)
  • Salt (for boiling pasta)
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Black olives (to resemble spider eyes)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese (“ghosts” for your meatballs!)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta: Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes or until al dente.
  2. Mix the Meatball Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Channel your inner chef and mix everything together until just combined.
  3. Shape the Meatballs: Now, roll the mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Cook the Meatballs: In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. They don’t need to be fully cooked through yet.
  5. Add the Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs in the skillet and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve It Up: When your spaghetti is ready, drain it and divide it among plates. Top with the meatballs and sauce. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese and add a couple of black olives for “spider eyes.”

Notes

Feel free to add chopped spinach or zucchini to the meatball mixture for hidden veggies!
