- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat with the chopped onion until cooked through.
- Mix in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and stir to combine.
- Combine the cooked beef mixture, uncooked rice, beef broth, and cream of mushroom soup in a large mixing bowl.
- Embrace the cheese by pouring the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and topping it with shredded cheddar.
- Bake for about 45-50 minutes until the rice is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve and savor the casserole once it cools for a few minutes.
Notes
For a kick, add jalapeños or red pepper flakes. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days.
