- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the ham in a large roasting pan, cut-side down, and score the surface in a diamond pattern.
- Make the glaze by combining honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, and black pepper in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Apply half of the glaze all over the ham, ensuring it gets into the scored cuts.
- Bake the ham covered with foil for 1.5 to 2 hours, brushing with more glaze every 30 minutes.
- Finish by removing the foil in the last 30 minutes to let it brown and crisp.
- Serve after letting the ham rest for about 15 minutes at an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
Notes
If the glaze separates, stir it before each application. Pair with creamy side dishes like quiche for a delightful meal.
