- 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onion (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Mini burger buns
- Your favorite burger toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, ketchup, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Bake the tater tots on a baking sheet according to package instructions for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Prepare the beef mixture by combining ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onions in a large bowl.
- Shape the beef mixture into small patties, making about 8-10 mini burgers.
- Cook the patties in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes per side, adding cheddar cheese on top to melt.
- Assemble the burgers by layering a tater tot on a mini burger bun, topping it with a cheesy beef patty and your favorite toppings.
Notes
You can use sweet potato tots or crispy potato chips instead of tater tots for a different crunch. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
