Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 8 oz. noodles (chow mein or rice noodles preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Optional: veggies like bell peppers or carrots for added crunch

Instructions

  1. Cook your chosen noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat in a large skillet or wok. Add the ground beef and break it apart as it cooks until browned—about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic, ginger, and green onions into the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and brown sugar in a small bowl and pour over the beef mixture. Simmer for a minute.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, adding veggies if desired.
  6. Enjoy your meal in bowls, topping with extra green onions if you’d like!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge. You can also substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken.
