Description
A quick and delicious dinner featuring grouper fillets in a creamy lemon sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 grouper fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the fish: Season grouper fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat the pan: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add grouper fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden.
- Flip to cook: Gently flip the fillets, adding butter and minced garlic. Spoon melted butter over the fish.
- Prepare the creamy sauce: Once cooked through, remove the fillets. In the same pan, add heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest. Simmer until thickened.
- Serve it up: Return the grouper to the pan, let soak in sauce for a minute, and plate with fresh parsley.
Notes
Grouper can be substituted with other white fish like snapper or cod. For a thinner sauce, add some broth or water.
