Description

This delightful dish of red snapper with creamy Creole sauce is easy to prepare and perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets of red snapper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the pan: Start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. You’ll want it nice and hot but not smoking.
  2. Sauté the veggies: Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté until soft and fragrant, approximately 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Season and cook the fish: Pat the red snapper fillets dry, season with salt, pepper, and Creole seasoning. Push veggies to the side and place fish in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Make the sauce: Once the fish is cooked, reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream. Stir gently and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve with style: Plate the fish, pour the creamy sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with additional spices or a splash of lemon juice for extra flavor.
