Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the scallops by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the pan by adding olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the scallops in a single layer for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and add butter and garlic. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve by transferring the scallops to a plate, pouring the butter and garlic sauce over them, and garnishing with fresh herbs.

Notes

Use high-quality, dry-packed scallops for the best results. Don’t overcook to maintain texture.
