Description

A quick and tasty shrimp dish that packs bold flavors and satisfying textures, perfect for busy weeknights or dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
  • Optional: cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry using paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Toss the shrimp into the bowl with the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  4. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes to soak up those tasty flavors.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated shrimp.
  6. Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes per side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions and cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a fresh twist, try adding a splash of lime juice or diced tomatoes to the pan. Don’t worry if your sauce looks a bit lumpy; a little texture adds character!
