Description
A quick and tasty shrimp dish packed with bold flavors and a spicy kick, perfect for weeknights or dinner parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions and cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry using paper towels.
- Combine olive oil, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to form your spicy marinade.
- Toss the shrimp into the bowl with the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated, and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated shrimp, and cook for approximately 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove the shrimp from heat and if desired, sprinkle with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
Notes
For a fresh twist, add a splash of lime juice or diced tomatoes while cooking. Don’t worry if the sauce looks a little lumpy; it adds character!
