Description

A quick and tasty shrimp dish packed with bold flavors and a spicy kick, perfect for weeknights or dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions and cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry using paper towels.
  2. Combine olive oil, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to form your spicy marinade.
  3. Toss the shrimp into the bowl with the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated, and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated shrimp, and cook for approximately 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Remove the shrimp from heat and if desired, sprinkle with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.

Notes

For a fresh twist, add a splash of lime juice or diced tomatoes while cooking. Don’t worry if the sauce looks a little lumpy; it adds character!
