Description

A bold and exciting dish that combines zesty shrimp with savory sausage for a mouthwatering nacho experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, jalapeƱos

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Start by preparing your shrimp and sausage. If your sausage isn’t pre-cooked, sautĆ© it in a skillet over medium heat until it’s browned.
  2. Cook the shrimp: Once the sausage is ready, add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  3. Layer the nachos: Grab a large baking sheet and spread out a generous layer of tortilla chips. Over the chips, sprinkle the cooked shrimp and sausage mixture evenly. Then, pour the canned tomatoes over the top.
  4. Cheese, please: Shower the whole delight with shredded cheese.
  5. Bake: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and pop the nachos in for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is all melty and bubbly.
  6. Serve and garnish: Once baked, let the nachos cool slightly. Top them off with fresh cilantro and any additional toppings you love.

Notes

For a gooey texture, mix different types of cheese. These nachos are perfect for sharing, so feel free to double the ingredients for a larger crowd.
