Description

Experience the vibrant flavors of Southern cooking with this delightful seafood boil, featuring shrimp, crab legs, corn, and potatoes cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab legs, thawed
  • 2 ears of corn, cut into halves
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (for boiling)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Get your seafood, corn, and potatoes all cleaned and ready to go.
  2. Boil the potatoes: In a large pot, fill it with water and add a pinch of salt. Toss in the baby potatoes and bring the water to a boil. Let it simmer until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Add the corn: Once the potatoes are ready, add the corn halves and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Season it up: Introduce the minced garlic, chopped onion, and Cajun seasoning into the pot. Let these ingredients mingle for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Introduce the seafood: Carefully add the shrimp and crab legs into the pot, allowing them to cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  6. Squeeze in the lemon: Squeeze the lemon halves into the pot and throw them in as well.
  7. Serve and garnish: Ladle the seafood boil into bowls, garnish with fresh parsley, and save some lemon wedges for an extra kick!

Notes

To elevate your seafood boil, use fresh ingredients and consider offering hot sauce on the side for added spice.
