Description
A delightful escape into comfort food with a Halloween twist! This recipe features homemade meatballs stuffed with gooey cheese served over spaghetti.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 package spaghetti noodles
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until just combined.
- Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a tablespoon of mozzarella cheese in the center and wrap the meat around the cheese, forming a meatball.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the meatballs. Cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the marinara sauce, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes while preparing the spaghetti noodles.
- Drain the spaghetti and twirl it onto plates. Spoon the meatballs over the spaghetti and garnish with basil.
Notes
Leftovers freeze beautifully. For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to your marinara sauce. You can also substitute marinara sauce with your favorite pasta sauce.
