Description

A delightful weeknight dinner featuring tender steak, succulent shrimp, and hearty noodles, all drizzled with a rich sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Start by boiling a pot of salted water and cook your noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside when done.
  2. Prep the meat: While your noodles are cooking, heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Add the sliced steak, seasoning it with salt and pepper, and stir-fry until browned (about 3-4 minutes). Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté shrimp: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of sesame oil if needed, then toss in the minced garlic and ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant before adding the shrimp. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Combine: Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the shrimp. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, and stir everything together. Then, add the cooked noodles and toss until everything is well combined and heated through.
  5. Garnish and serve: Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy your culinary creation!

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp to prevent rubbery textures. Feel free to add veggies like bell peppers or broccoli for extra crunch.
