Description
Delicious and easy-to-make steak tacos that are perfect for a quick weeknight meal or impressing guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak (or your preferred cut)
- 3 tbsp lime juice (fresh)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Taco shells or tortillas
- Toppings of your choice: diced onions, tomatoes, avocado, cheese
Instructions
- Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine lime juice, cilantro, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the steak, ensuring it gets all that flavor. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for better flavor).
- Cook the steak: In a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat, cook the marinated steak for about 5–7 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust the time based on your preferred doneness.
- Rest and slice: Once the steak is cooked, let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing against the grain into juicy strips.
- Assemble the tacos: Gather your taco shells or tortillas, layer those steak strips in the center, and top with your favorite toppings.
- Serve and enjoy: Squeeze a bit more lime juice on top for an extra tang and enjoy your feast!
Notes
Feel free to use different meats or grilled veggies. Avoid overcooking the steak.
