Description

A delightful seafood treat that combines elegance and ease, perfect for special occasions or a personal indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 pounds of fresh or frozen king crab legs
  • Water (for steaming)
  • Butter (for serving)
  • Lemon wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the crab legs: If using frozen crab legs, put them in the refrigerator overnight to thaw or run them under cold water for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare your steamer: Fill a large pot with about 2 inches of water and place a steamer basket on top. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Steam the crab legs: Carefully add the crab legs to the steamer once the water is boiling. Cover and steam for about 6-8 minutes for thawed legs or 10-12 minutes for frozen legs.
  4. Serve with style: Remove the crab legs from the pot, cool slightly, and plate. Serve with melted butter and lemon juice, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

To prevent overcooking, monitor your crab legs closely while steaming, as they only need to be heated through.
