Description
A delicious boneless ham glazed with pineapple and brown sugar, perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 boneless ham (about 5–7 pounds)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup canned pineapple slices (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Combine the brown sugar, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, and cloves in a medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
- Score the surface of the boneless ham with a sharp knife, making crisscross patterns about 1 inch apart.
- Brush half of the glaze over the ham and sprinkle extra brown sugar on top.
- Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for about 1.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the remaining glaze. Remove foil for the last 20 minutes.
- Remove the ham from the oven when it reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) and let it rest for at least 15 minutes. Garnish with pineapple slices.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to a week. Substitute Dijon mustard with maple syrup for a sweeter glaze.
