Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Skewers
  • 2 lbs boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk For marinating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour For coating
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise For bang bang sauce
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce For bang bang sauce
  • 1 tsp sriracha Adjust for desired heat
  • 1 pkg Wooden or metal skewers Use soaked wooden skewers to prevent burning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by marinating the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Once the chicken has finished soaking, roll each piece in the flour mixture and slide onto skewers.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and spray the basket lightly with cooking spray.
  2. Place the skewers in the basket without overcrowding and air fry for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Check for a golden brown color indicating they are crispy.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to create the bang bang sauce.
Serving
  1. Once the chicken skewers are done, drizzle with the bang bang sauce or serve it on the side for dipping.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes before use. These skewers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
