  • 1 small wheel Brie cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 pinch salt
  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully cut the Brie into small bite-sized pieces.
  3. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, the second with beaten egg, and the third with a mixture of sliced almonds and panko breadcrumbs plus a pinch of salt.
Coating
  1. Dip each piece of Brie in flour, shake off the excess, then coat it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the almond-panko mixture.
  2. Place the coated Brie bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese starts to ooze.
Making the Glaze
  1. While the Brie bites are baking, combine cranberry sauce and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until warmed through and combined.
Serving
  1. Let the baked Brie bites cool for a minute, drizzle with cranberry honey glaze, and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
  2. Gather your loved ones and enjoy!

Notes

Don’t sweat the small stuff with the glaze texture; imperfections are part of the charm. You can substitute Brie with Camembert or goat cheese for variety. Prepare bites ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
