  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add in the softened butter and almond extract. Mix until everything is combined and forms a soft dough.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Roll out your dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Use star-shaped cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
  2. Place the cut-out cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Optionally, sprinkle with sliced almonds or sprinkles.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are just golden.
  4. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before enjoying.
