Ingredients
  

For the Sugar Cookie Crust
  • 1 package 16 oz package of sugar cookie dough Store-bought works great!
For the Toppings
  • 1 package 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced into rounds
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • to taste fresh mint leaves for garnish Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a pizza pan or large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the package of cookie dough and spread it out onto your prepared pan to create a round, cookie base with about ½ inch thickness.
Baking
  1. Bake the cookie crust for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Let it cool completely.
Frosting
  1. Mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth. Taste-test if desired.
  2. Once cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting generously over your cookie crust.
Decoration
  1. Arrange the blueberries in the top left corner to create the stars' portion of the flag.
  2. Add the strawberry slices in rows for the stripes, leaving some empty spaces for the classic American look.
  3. Add a few sprigs of fresh mint for garnish if desired.
Serving
  1. Cut into slices like a pizza and serve to enjoy!

Notes

Don’t stress about perfection; aim for a fun, festive look. You can also make the dough and frosting a day ahead and store them separately in the fridge. Feel free to experiment with seasonal fruits like kiwi or banana instead of traditional berries.
