  • 8 slices bacon

  • 1/2 cup grated Asiago cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel the onions and cut off the ends, ensuring they remain intact.
  3. Wrap each onion with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  4. Drizzle the wrapped onions with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the onions on a baking sheet and roast for about 30-35 minutes until bacon is crispy and onions are tender.
Making the Creamy Asiago Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the heavy cream.
  2. Add the Asiago cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.

Notes

To elevate flavors, consider adding an extra slice of bacon for each onion or brushing them with honey before wrapping. Can be made ahead and refrigerated.
