Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 round round of brie cheese (8 oz) Because who can resist melted cheese?
  • 1 loaf unsliced round loaf of bread (like sourdough or a good French bread)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce Store-bought if you’re short on time or homemade if you want to impress.
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves Feel free to use dried if that’s what you have on hand.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Optional, for that sweet kiss if desired.
  • Olive oil For drizzling.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). You want it nice and warm.
  2. Slice the top off your round loaf of bread and hollow it out gently, creating a bowl shape.
  3. Cut the brie cheese in half horizontally. Place the bottom half inside the hollowed-out bread bowl and top it with a layer of cranberry sauce, thyme leaves, and honey if desired. Place the top half of the brie back on.
Baking
  1. Drizzle a little olive oil over the bread bowl and cover it with aluminum foil. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the brie is melty.
Serving
  1. Carefully remove the foil and let it cool for a minute. Serve warm, along with chopped pieces of the bread you scooped out for dipping.

Notes

For bread substitutions, try using different types of bread like cinnamon raisin or even gluten-free options. You can mix in chopped pecans or walnuts with the cranberry sauce for extra crunch.
