Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out your thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Place the Brie wheel in the center of the pastry and spread fig jam over the top.
- Sprinkle chopped pistachios on top of the fig jam.
- Fold the pastry over the cheese, pinching the edges to seal completely.
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the pastry for a golden shine.
Baking
- Place the wrapped Brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until puffy and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
If you can't bake it right away, refrigerate for up to an hour but let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before baking. For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of balsamic glaze or honey on top of the fig jam.
