Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 wheel wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet sheet of puff pastry (thawed) Ensure it's thawed before use
  • 1 piece egg For egg wash
Optional Ingredients
  • to taste your favorite jam (fig or raspberry) Great for extra flavor
  • to taste chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Adds a fabulous crunch
  • to taste fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) For a fun twist

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out your puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Center the Brie in the middle of the pastry. If using jam, spread it on top of the cheese.
  4. Wrap the pastry around the Brie, tucking the edges under.
  5. Beat the egg and brush it generously on the puff pastry.
Baking
  1. Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let cool slightly before slicing and serve with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

You can prepare this dish ahead of time by wrapping the Brie and refrigerating it until ready to bake.
