Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Halve each pear lengthwise and remove the core, leaving the skin on if desired.
- Arrange the pear halves cut side up in a baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Stuffing and Baking
- Divide the crumbled blue cheese amongst the pear halves.
- Sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top, and add thyme or rosemary.
- Drizzle honey (or maple syrup) over the stuffed pears.
- Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, until the pears are tender and the cheese is melted.
Serving
- Serve warm, garnishing with leftover herbs if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat before serving.
