Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 oz spaghetti
Meat
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage (or veggie crumbles) Use veggie crumbles for a plant-based option.
Sauce
  • 1 cup pizza sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings
  • 0.5 cup sliced pepperoni Or any favorite toppings.
  • 0.5 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 0.5 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Get a large pot of water boiling. Add a pinch of salt and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Meat
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or sausage and cook until brown. Sauté onions and garlic until the onions are translucent.
Combine
  1. Mix in the pizza sauce, cooked spaghetti, Italian seasoning, and seasonings until everything is well incorporated.
Layering
  1. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti mixture, sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese, and top with half of the pepperoni. Repeat the layers.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until the cheese is gooey and golden.
Serving
  1. Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving with a side salad or garlic bread.

Notes

Feel free to mix and match favorite pizza toppings. This dish can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge. Reheat as needed.
