  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans optional, but adds crunch
  • a pinch cinnamon for extra flavor before serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the well-drained crushed pineapple and sliced bananas. Be gentle to keep the bananas intact.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until everything is nicely coated.
  3. Add the mini marshmallows for sweetness.
  4. If using, fold in the chopped pecans for added crunch.
  5. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top.

Notes

To prevent bananas from browning, squeeze a bit of lemon juice over them before mixing. Customize with other fruits like strawberries or mangoes.
