Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with some salt and pepper.
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes.
- Once the beef is browned, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent. Layer this mixture over the potatoes.
- In a bowl, combine the milk and cream of mushroom soup. Pour this over the beef and potatoes.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or peas for added nutrition. This dish reheats well for leftovers.
