  • 1 cup heavy cream for gravy
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce for gravy
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for gravy
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) adds a fresh touch

Method

Preparation
  1. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the beef tenderloin and rub it well.
Searing the Meat
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef tenderloin and sear each side for about 4-5 minutes until nicely browned.
Cooking the Beef

Making the Gravy
  1. In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth and scrape up browned bits from the bottom.
  2. Add heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and stir. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Adjust the consistency with additional beef broth if necessary.
Finishing Touches
  1. Let the beef rest for a few minutes after removing from the oven.

Notes

Letting beef rest is critical for juicy results. Adjust garlic according to preference.
