- Shape the mixture into four equal patties, making a small indent in the center of each one.
Cooking
- Heat your grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

- Just before taking the burgers off the heat, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid or foil.
Assembly

Notes
Don’t stress about perfection! If your patties are a tad misshaped or your cheese gets a little drippy, that’s all part of the charm. Consider adding sautéed onions or BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
