Ingredients

Cake Ingredients
  • 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3 large Eggs
Topping Ingredients
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 oz)
  • 1 jar Caramel Sauce (12 oz)
  • 1 container Whipped Topping (8 oz)
  • 1 bar Chocolate or Chocolate Shavings (4 oz) For garnish

Method

Baking the Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine your chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a prepared 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Adding the Toppings
  1. Once the cake is out of the oven and cooled slightly, poke holes all over the cake using a fork.
  2. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  3. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  4. Chill the cake in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  5. Spread whipped topping over the cooled cake and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or pieces.
Serving
  1. Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

Make it a day ahead for better flavor. You can swap the cake mix for other flavors. Store leftovers tightly in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
