Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (button or shiitake)
Sauce and seasonings
  • 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2-3 tablespoons black pepper Adjust based on your taste!
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced or sliced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced or sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Or any cooking oil you prefer.
  • 1 pinch salt Optional, especially if you like your dishes on the low sodium side.

Method

Sauté the Beef
  1. Heat up a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add your oil and let it shimmer.
  2. Toss in the thinly sliced beef, and season with a bit of salt and black pepper. Stir-fry until browned (about 3-5 minutes). Remove the beef and set it aside.
Vegetable Extravaganza
  1. In the same pan, add your green beans and mushrooms. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  2. Add garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.
Mix and Match
  1. Throw the beef back into the pan, and pour soy sauce over the mixture. Stir together until well-combined.
  2. Cook for another couple of minutes, allowing the sauce to coat your ingredients beautifully. Taste and adjust black pepper if desired.
Plate Up
  1. Serve hot over rice or noodles, and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a splash of sesame oil when serving. This stir-fry is versatile; use leftover veggies as desired. If sauce appears lumpy, don't worry—the flavor is still delicious!
