  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (shiitake, button, or your favorite) Use any type of mushroom you prefer.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For frying.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Optional but recommended for flavor depth.
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
For Serving
  • Cooked rice or noodles Choose your preferred base.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by slicing your beef, trimming the green beans, and slicing the mushrooms. Prepping everything makes cooking feel like a breeze.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is shimmering, it’s time to add the beef.
  2. Toss in the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until it’s browned. Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
  3. Next, add the garlic, green beans, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the beans are vibrant and crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Pour this sauce over the beef and veggies, stir well, and let it cook for another minute.
Serving
  1. Scoop this delicious stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles, and enjoy!

Notes

For a little zing, add a splash of chili sauce or red pepper flakes. Leftovers can be stored tightly covered in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
