  • 2 tablespoons black pepper Can add more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Fresh is best!
  • to taste Salt
  • Green onions for garnish Optional but recommended

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, mix the chicken strips with black pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and salt. Let marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet or wok. Add sliced onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent (1-2 minutes).
  2. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Add sliced bell pepper and minced ginger, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the veggies are vibrant and crunchy.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes

Feel free to swap out the veggies based on your preference. Consider adding chili flakes for heat. Don’t worry about caramelization bits in the pan; it adds flavor!
