Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese (fresh) Sliced into 1-inch thick discs
  • 8-10 black olives (pitted) Cut in half for the pupils
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • Salt, for pasta water

Method

Cooking Spaghetti
  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water, about 8-10 minutes. Stir often to avoid sticking.
Prepare Eyeballs
  1. Slice the mozzarella cheese into round discs, about 1-inch thick. Cut the black olives in half to serve as the pupils. Place one olive half on each mozzarella round.
Heat the Sauce
  1. Gently heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warm, avoiding boiling.
Combine Pasta and Sauce
  1. Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the pan with the warm marinara sauce. Toss until the pasta is evenly coated.
Serve with Style
  1. Dish the spaghetti onto plates or in bowls, topping each serving with mozzarella eyeballs and garnishing with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

Consider adding gummy worms on top for a fun dessert twist. Sauce consistency may vary; if it's lumpy, it's all part of the charm!
