  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Ripe and juicy
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 French baguette French baguette For a crunchy base
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing the baguette
  • 1 pinch salt
  • fresh basil leaves (optional for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice your French baguette into about half-inch thick pieces—aim for about 12 pieces.
  2. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
Toasting
  1. Place oiled slices on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and slightly crisp.
Mixing Topping
  1. In a bowl, combine blueberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, chopped basil, and a pinch of salt. Gently stir to mix.
Assembling
  1. Once the bread is toasted, spoon the blueberry mixture generously onto each slice.
  2. Garnish with a basil leaf if desired.

Notes
