Ingredients

For the Bruschetta
  • 1 large loaf large loaf of crusty Italian bread Think rustic and flavorful!
  • 2 cups ripe cherry tomatoes Sweet and juicy is what we’re aiming for!
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese You could use mozzarella, but burrata takes it to a whole new level.
  • handful fresh basil leaves Fragrant and will elevate every bite.
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze Sweet, tangy goodness—yum!
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil Because we want it to glisten!
  • Salt and pepper to taste Simple but makes a difference.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by slicing the cherry tomatoes in half. Toss them in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let them marinate while you prepare the bread.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the loaf of bread into thick pieces, about 1 inch each. Lay them out on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
Cooking
  1. Bake the bread for about 5-7 minutes until they’re golden and crispy.
Assembly
  1. Tear the burrata into pieces and place it generously on each piece of toasted bread.
  2. Top with the marinated cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of fresh basil leaves.
Finishing Touch
  1. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.

Notes

Choose the right bread, make it your own with different toppings, and don't sweat the details of presentation.
