Ingredients
  

For the Bruschetta
  • 1 loaf loaf of crusty Italian bread (sourdough or ciabatta) Choose a crusty variety for best texture.
  • 1 ball ball of burrata cheese Don't skimp on quality.
  • 1 pint pint of cherry tomatoes, halved Fresh tomatoes for optimal flavor.
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped Can substitute with arugula or mint.
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil For drizzling on bread and salad.
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze This adds a sweet touch.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Slice the crusty bread into ½-inch thick pieces. Place them on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with a little salt.
  2. Bake the prepared bread for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
Making the Topping
  1. In a bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes and chopped basil. Drizzle with olive oil, add salt and pepper, and mix well.
Assembly
  1. Once the bread is out of the oven and slightly cooled, spread a good amount of burrata cheese on each slice.
  2. Top each slice with the tomato and basil mixture, and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
Serving
  1. Present the Burrata Bruschetta on a lovely platter for your guests.

Notes

If the burrata tears while spreading, consider it a rustic touch. You can make this bruschetta for meal prep, just keep the bread separate until ready to serve.
