  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 4 bars)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • to taste optional: a sprinkle of sea salt for garnish

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the crushed Butterfinger bars.
Baking
  1. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  3. Once out of the oven, immediately drizzle the caramel sauce over the warm bars and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
Serving
  1. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

These bars store well in an airtight container for up to a week. They may taste even better the next day as the flavors meld.
