Cajun Shrimp and Salmon with Garlic Cream Sauce

Ingredients
  

For the Cajun Shrimp
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Salmon
  • 2 fillets salmon (about 6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Garlic Cream Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking Shrimp
  1. Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well-coated.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Set aside.
Cooking Salmon
  1. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil and cook the salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Making the Garlic Cream Sauce
  1. Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens.
  3. Gently fold in the shrimp to the sauce and let warm for a minute.
Serving
  1. Plate the salmon fillets and generously ladle the shrimp and garlic cream sauce over the top.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, feel free to add more Cajun seasoning. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
