Ingredients

For the Bites
  • 1 sheet sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 ounces of brie cheese (cut into small pieces)
  • ½ cup candied pecans (chopped)
  • ½ cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 each egg (for egg wash)
  • to taste fresh rosemary (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure your bites will come out perfectly golden and flaky.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your sheet of puff pastry. Use a cookie cutter or a knife to cut out squares (about 3 inches each).
  3. Place the puff pastry squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top each square with a piece of brie, a sprinkle of candied pecans, and a few cranberries. Drizzle honey over the top if you’re feeling fancy!
  4. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the edges of the puff pastry for a golden color.
  5. Pop your baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
  6. Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh rosemary for a pop of color and a little extra flavor. Enjoy them warm!

Notes

You can use pre-rolled puff pastry to save time. These bites can be customized with ingredients like walnuts or cinnamon. Make ahead by prepping a day in advance and just baking when ready.
